XSI Welcomes Our Newest Colorado Agent

By Jay · Comments (0)
Monday, April 5th, 2010

We welcome our newest Agent In Colorado Nikki Sjoden. Here’s what she has to say.

Hey! my name is Nikki Sjoden AKA 2k’s. I grew up in Evergreen, Colorado in the same house that my dad did and feel very fortunate to have come from such an amazing place. I have the best family in the world and without their support I don’t know where I would be. Growing up I was a competitive gymnast for 12 years, competitive snowboarder and am now actively involved with motocross all of which I love very much but as you can guess I’ve had every injury in the book. Being outdoors is my passion and I can’t seem to get enough of it. I absolutely love action sports and definitely have a need for speed which really helps me relate to my XSI clients. I started in the insurance business 5 years ago and was focused on selling life insurance which as a young female was one of the toughest ventures I’ve had. I have had an independent agency in Denver for over 2 years now and feel really great about the direction I’m headed. I believe XSI is a really important product for any active person and is going to be a perfect fit for people with or without major medical insurance. I look forward to being a part of the XSI team and the future it holds!

XSI adds an office in Laguna Beach California run by Craig Dawson.   Craig is very active in the surf and rugby communities in CA and he understands the needs of an XSI customer.  If  you’re located in CA and want to learn more about XSI give Craig a call, (949)874-5555.

Here’s Craig’s Bio-

Craig Dawson born and raised in Auckland , New Zealand.1967

…..basically am the classic traveling kiwi bloke that has always wanted to get out and see the world and to know as much about the people and countries that I visited. Living in behind the ‘orange curtain’ is interesting no question but laguna beach is for me the only spot I can live in California. I have the surf across the road from my home and office. Can at least walk to the pub and store , alot of the locals here are actually fairly normal for these parts and my kids have access to great schools.Throw in 340 plus days of sunshine a year and mammoth mountain a 4.5 hour drive away say no more!

…..XSI is a great fit for me as I see alot of value in the products that are offered and which in these difficult times people need to be able to at least have peace in knowing that they dont have to break their own bank to afford coverage while pursuing their chosen pastime whether it be snowboarding, surfing, rugby ,motocross etc. Being an active participant in these sports it is great to know that there are affordable options rather than having no coverage at all.

DAWS….Kia Kaha e hoa ma!!   be strong and go hard my friends!!

Pat Milbery at Hot Dogs and Handrails

By Jay · Comments (0)
Monday, September 21st, 2009

Pat Milbery made the trek from Denver, CO to Bear Mtn in CA this weekend for the Hot Dogs and Hand Rails snowboard comp. Our XSI rep in So Cal, Craig Dawson, hooked up with Pat and took some pics for us. They bring in tractor trailers worth of ice then shred it down to make “snow”. The event draws thousands of people from all over and some the best snowboarders out there. Pat placed 6th out of 60, not bad for the first contest of the year.

Throwdown Elite Training Center is Raising the Bar by Increasing Membership Benefits

By Jay · Comments (1)
Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

It’s official!  Throwdown Elite Training Center is backing XSI 100%!  Here’s the official press release!

Orem, UT July 6, 2009 Throwdown Elite Training Center (ETC) is raising the standard of customer care by including Xtreme Sports Insurance with all memberships.  Xtreme Sports Insurance (XSI) is accident and injury insurance that covers the costs of injuries due to medical expenses and missed time at work. Throwdown ETC has an amazing facility, excellent trainers, a skilled staff, and is making bold changes to ensure that people can workout at their facility KNOWING that they have some insurance if they get injured.

For those who are active or participate in any sport, injuries can happen.  Expensive deductibles and missed time at work takes money out of athletes’ pockets if they get injured.  Throwdown ETC is taking an active interest in their members’ wellbeing and is providing XSI—a monumental first for training associations.

Throwdown ETC layers the benefits of XSI over an already-impressive highlight list.  As the world’s largest alternative training association, it boasts of having over 21,000 square feet of space—fueled by a state of the art audio-visual system, an olympic weight facility, a state of the art free weight facility, and a full-size octagon for sparring.  Robert Scott, founder of XSI states,

“Throwdown is an innovative and industry-leading training facility—the perfect setting for helping fighters that might not qualify or be able to afford other insurance.  XSI allows them to train hard knowing that, if something does happen, they’ll be getting a check to help cover the costs.  XSI and Throwdown are changing assumptions people have about insurance by making it accessible, directly paid to the fighter, and easy to apply for.”

Despite including XSI in all memberships, Throwdown takes every precaution to ensure the safety of all members.  Classes are separated by level and are taught by world-class martial artists and professional athletes.  Other options like yoga, pilates, and a professional massage therapist help to keep members in the best-possible physical condition.  For more information, visit them online at www.throwdownetc.com or in person at 1640 S. State Street in Orem, UT.

XSI: Xtreme Sports Insurance is the first sports insurance that helps fill in the gaps by paying you directly if you get injured.  Instead of paying your doctors, XSI sends you a check in the mail for expensive deductibles, bills not covered by primary insurance policies, or for lost time at work.  XSI is located in Draper UT at 11576 S. State St. #1202A. Information can be found online at www.xsinow.com or by calling 801.501.9314.
